Buenaventura Mining, a precious metals mining company in Peru, said late Friday it has completed the commissioning of the Tambomayo processing plant in Caylloma. The company said the ramp-up of the project has started and the first bar was obtained Dec. 30.
The project has an estimated annual production capacity between 140,000 and 160,000 ounces of gold and between 3.3 million and 3.8 million ounces of silver. The plant is expected to enter commercial operation in March or April.
